Frequently Asked Questions
What is my claim worth? The monetary value of a claim is based on the injury sustained in the accident and this varies. You may think that your injury is not worth claiming for but a whiplash type injury is worth in the region of £1950. You can then add such things as lost wages etc. If you have suffered multiple injuries and are looking for a guide using our calculator it is not just a matter of adding up the injuries. This is because the accident wasn’t your fault. Even if your partner, friend or relative were driving, you can still make a claim. We would need the driver and car details for both vehicles but all injured passengers are entitled to claim compensation for any injuries suffered. Is there a time limit?Yes. Normally it is 3 years from the date of your accident. By the end of 3 years you must have settled your claim or started action, otherwise your claim may be time-barred. In Industrial Disease cases (deafness, asbestos, VWF, stress etc) complex rules apply to when the 3 year period starts. We can advise you about this in more detail during our initial free discussion. For children’s claims, the 3 years does not start to run until their 18th birthday. The time limit is therefore their 21st birthday. We are happy to offer a free initial chat, without obligation.
