Involved in an accident. Injured. What to do next.

If you are involved in an accident then you should exchange as a minimum names addresses and contact numbers.

If known obtain insurance details.

Get witness names and contact details.

If someone has been injured then inform the police.

If the accident was not your fault then phone 08000 748134 immediately so that we can arrange the following:

• Vehicle Recovery and Storage.
• Replacement vehicle equivalent to your own
• Repair at a garage of your choice or one of our approved repairers.
• Recovery of your excess (uninsured losses).
• Assistance in making a claim for compensation for any injuries sustained.

You should seek medical advice for any injuries

If the accident was your fault then you should contact 08000 748134 where an advisor will help you. You cannot avoid the fact that you have made a claim the value of which is irrelevant.

If you had any passengers in the vehicle then they can claim. Should this be the case we will pay you a referral fee for each passenger.

If the third party refuses to give you information or drives of, make a note of as many details as you can. Make and model of the vehicle and registration number and report the incident to the police.

If you are injured on a bus, tram or train.

Inform the driver or other official of the accident. Make a note of the name and number of that person and ensure that they note your name, address and injuries.
