£7000 compensation for driver of faulty vehicleA van driver has received £7000 compensation from a large UK food delivery firm after a faulty van door slammed shut and crushed his hand. The man was delivering bread buns to Burger King when the accident happened. Staff at Burger King were unable to free his hand so called fire fighters who had to use cutting equipment to free the man.
Admission of liability3663, the company he works for accepted liability for his broken finger and settled out of court. The personal injury solicitors dealing with the case said “Mr McCulloch was a victim of his employer’s inability to ensure it provided safe working conditions for its employees”. He continued “All vehicles should have been part of a thorough inspection programme to pick up potential faults like this”. |
